Nintendo has put to rest the recent reports of Wii sports 2 already being in development by saying “its pure rumor and speculation”. Website, NGC France reported that the second was in development and it would contain swimming, basketball and other sports.

This doesn’t mean we won’t see one in the future of course, Wii sports is one of the Wii best selling games, Nintendo will want to make a sequel at somepoint in the future, just not right now.
