Official Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 Site Launched
Posted by Chris on 19 Apr 2007
Square Enix recently launched its official Japanese website for Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift. At the moment, the website is just a single page with information in Japanese only. However visitors who are not familiar with the language may be more interested in getting a glimpse at the official game logo and artwork. The artwork depicts two characters, one male and one female, riding on the back of a chocobo while a third character (a moogle) clings to the chocobo's tail feathers to keep from falling off. As for the logo, it portrays a horned figure that looks strikingly similar to the judges in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Final Fantasy XII. Visitors can also enjoy a new remixed version of the song "Companions That Surpassed Their Tribe" that was originally from the Final Fantasy Tactics Advance soundtrack.

According to the website the game is an SRPG and is expected to have game play similar to its predecessor Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. FFTA2 is a component of the Ivalice Alliance along with Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lions War for the PSP and Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings for the Nintendo DS. FFTA2 will also be coming out on the Nintendo DS and will see a Japanese release some time within 2007. There has been no mention of an American or European release thus far.
