7th Saga Description
The 7th Saga is a role playing game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, known as Elnard in Japan. The player chooses one of seven playable characters, all of whom separately embark on a quest to locate seven magical runes.

As the player progresses through the game from one town to the next, they will encounter the other six characters on multiple occasions. The player may partner with one of the other playable characters to fight as a team, and they may also fight against other playable characters for the runes.

7th Saga - Player Reviews & Feedback
Rating 4 Brilliant RPG

If you're in the mood for an RPG, then THE 7th SAGA is just what you need. As a noble warrior under the King's command, you've been ordered to seek out the seven rune stones that are located throughout the world. The only problem is that there are six other characters in search of the same items; in other words, you won't just be fighting monsters on your quest, but other warriors as well.

Choose to play as any of the seven stone-seekers in the game each with their own unique abilities and attributes so you're sure to find one that fits your playing style. If it's a real challenge you're after, trying completing the game as all seven characters and prove that you are the master of THE 7th SAGA.
Rating 4Simply a Classic

The story is that some ancient book was discovered (kind of like how FFT started now that I think about it. Note to RPG developers, don't base stories around a book) and it tells of a war between SARO and GORSIA. Only when you're in the last 25% of the game does that even matter. The real story is that King Lemele wants the 7 runes, and has hired 7 adventurers todo it.

Half the fun is picking who to play, the 2 humans, the elf, the dwarf, the alien, the evil demon (must they always be evil?), and the tetujin (giant robot, ALWAYS TALKS LIKE THIS AND WALKS WITH AN ANNOYING CLANGCLANGCLANGCLANG, JUST AS ANNOYING AS READING THIS, DON'T USE HIM FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR SANITY). The other half is in finding a partner (again, save your sanity, do not team up with the robot) later in the game.
Rating 5 Quite Spectacular

7th Saga was one of the RPG's on the SNES that I've enjoyed the most since you had so much liberty in this game. Every new quest you were undertaking in this game was another magical discovery. You start the game in the throne room of the king with a "holy mission" and you are then released in a wide world without any boundaries. This game let you take many different directions from the start and let you choose between 7 different characters to play the game, which is a lot of choices for a game of this generation.

I remember playing the Robot which was pretty powerful but slower than the other characters. There was also some strategy into the fighting system that was adding more deepness to the combats, which is a turn based combat system. The graphics were really nice and the environment was much detailed. I recommend this game to every RPG fan, especially fans of the SNES generation of RPG's.
Rating 4 What a Game

This game is one of the more interesting role-playing games of my youth. Being drawn by its ability to challenge, much like the company’s Dragon Warrior/Quest series, I have enjoyed this game for umpteen hours on end without any acknowledgement of time. That’s what good gaming should be about, right? Much to my surprise, however, I have found it to be heavily overlooked. This is a game that should never have been lost in time.

You start off in the thrown room of King Lemele, accompanied by six others who share a common purpose. All of you have been summoned by the king, after five years of training, to seek out seven magical runes that are scattered across the world of Ticondera.

The person who acquires all seven runes will be powerful beyond his or her dreams and will become the ruler of their world. Each of you has the same intentions so not only will you be fighting monsters and enemies; you’ll be fighting each other. You will wander through the world, searching for these special runes and helping people along the way, as a true adventurer would.
