Rating 3 About Addams Family Values

The Addams family finds itself in a wacky situation once again, this time involving the newest member of the family Baby Pubert. Following the same plot as the movie, ADDAMS FAMILY VALUES puts you in the role of Uncle Fester as you try to rescue Pubert from his kidnapper--AKA his former nanny!

Throughout this action or RPG, you'll come across familiar characters like Morticia, Gomez, and Lurch as you search for clues and prepare yourself for battle. There are 42 levels to challenge your skills, but you'll have plenty of weapons at your disposal to help your cause: spider eyes, headless teddy bears, and potions. If you're looking for an action RPG, look no further than ADDAMS FAMILY VALUES.
Rating 0Terrible Game

Addams Family Values takes the approach of trying to look like a sub-par Legend of Zelda game. When you talk to characters, they are well-done and actually look like the characters from the movies. The general graphics of the game are okay, but just average.

The controls are surprisingly okay. They respond quickly and do what you want them to do, which is better than some similar movie-based games like this. The only major problem is that the more hurt you get, the weaker your attacks become (lightning attack goes from being 2 inches long to 1 cm), which throws you into a downward spiral and makes the game harder and harder until you finally die.

The game has a variety of items and different locations. Lots of unique characters and enemies. But the gameplay is generally wandering around with no clue as to what to do, hoping you don't die.

It's all the same gloomy Addams Family crap. In the movies, the morbid thing is done in a humorous way that actually makes it interesting. But when you transfer it over into a game, it's like using sarcasm without the other person knowing you are being sarcastic, and just comes off as overdramatic crap. Unless you're hardcore about the Addams Family, or a 9 year old goth, you wouldn't want to pick this game up again.
