Ardy Lightfoot - Player Reviews & Feedback
Pretty Good

I know what you’re thinking right about now: "What the heck is Ardy Lightfoot"? I’m not surprised; Ardy Lightfoot is a platform game for the Super Nintendo released back in February 1994 (earlier in other regions), but for whatever reason is one of the more esoteric titles for the console.

Ardy’s storyline is pretty simple: the rainbow has been broken into seven pieces (sounds a little like Super Mario RPG doesn’t it) and collecting all the pieces will grant someone a wish. It’s up to Ardy Lightfoot to collect the pieces before the evil king Visconti (who already has one piece) can get them first and use them for evil.

Rating 5Loved it!

The best SNES Platform game I have ever played. Or at least played in a long while. It ranks right up there with Mario World, Holy Umbrella, and Valis series as a great action/adventure side scrolling game with many fun things to do and a hundred fun things to try.

I give the game an 8 because it simply puts alot of the games during the time of it's creation to shame. Not even Bubsy II had the full water color effect going for it. Ardy Lightfoot uses spectacular coloring effects and some down to earth hand drawn characters and objects placed next to some computer generated levels and some super cool backgrounds. Of course the backgrounds aren't totally new to this type of game, repetitive and slightly old at points, this game DOES however give one the feeling of playing a cartoon/anime based game. Besides, Ardy's pogo-tail is cute.
