Secret of Evermore Description Secret of Evermore, released in North America on September 18, 1995, is a role playing video game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System video game console. The game was created by Square Co., Ltd.'s new development house, Square USA. Evermore was not met warmly, because many believed it to have been the reason why Seiken Densetsu 3 was not translated or released to the stateside market.

Secret of Evermore's creation was Square, Co. Ltd.'s primary reason for opening Square USA. This new team of developers was responsible for working on the game while their existing American subsidiary Squaresoft operated as normal, handling the translation of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars among other tasks. Squaresoft was also responsible for the marketing of Secret of Evermore.

In February 1996 the game saw release in the PAL territories of Australia and Europe. For the non-English-speaking market, it was translated into the French, German, and Spanish languages.

About Secret of Evermore

While exploring an old, decrepit mansion, a boy and his dog accidentally stumble onto a mysterious machine. After checking it out and thinking nothing of it, they find themselves thrust into Evermore, an alternate reality that was once a utopia but is now a dangerous and deadly world. Now you must lead this boy and his faithful dog through prehistoric jungles, ancient civilizations, medieval kingdoms, and futuristic cities as you try to figure out a way home. Along the way, you must harness the power of several weapons, become skilled in alchemy, and find allies who will help you take on the nefarious creatures that inhabit the world. All the skills and courage in the world aren't going to be enough to get home; the only way to find their way back to reality is to discover the SECRET OF EVERMORE.
Perfect

In the 2nd(and last, at least at this point) game released by Square of America, you play a young blonde kid who enjoys ''B'' movies and makes far too many references to them, in my opinion. You and your little dog(Who is let into the movie for any amount of reasons) walk out of the theatre into the gloomy Podunk weather. Little did they know that it would be that day that they were transported to the fantastic world of Evermore...

You then make your way around the corner to spot an ugly orange tabby. Now, your dog's instinctive...um...instincts tell him that he HAS to chase that cat. And you have to chase after him. The dog continues to run until he, compelled by some strange Dog Diety that humans would never understand, makes a 90 degree angle turn into a huge, mysterious mansion. You go in after him. Some junk's knocked over. AAH! A MUMMY! Hey....what's this? A machine? It looks like some futuristic teleporter...NO, DON'T BITE THAT! Bzzap...gone.
