Mario Bros. Description Mario Bros. is a video game released by Nintendo in late 1985 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Universally considered a classic of the medium, Mario Bros. featured bright, expansive worlds that changed the way video games were created.

Often wrongly credited as the first scrolling platform game (there are at least a half dozen earlier), it is the first console original in this genre to feature smooth-scrolling levels, which made it a landmark in home video-gaming.

Mario Bros. - Player Reviews & Feedback
Mario Bros. Was the game that pretty much started Nintendos rise to power in the 80's and 90's in the game you took control of Mario or Luigi but there wasn't any difference other than the change of color. And your main goal was to make it through the 32 stages and save Princess Peach. The later stages of the game actually get fairly hard you'll have to run & jump your way past many obstacles on your way to save the princess.

There are eight worlds each containing four stages and on the last stage you would have to face off with Bowser. When you are up against Bowser there are two things you can do: You can run like a cowerd and hope you make it under Bowsers legs or if you happen to have a fire flower you can defeat him revealing that it actually wasn't Bowser.

There are power-ups that you can get in this game such as: The Mushroom which will make you grow big and if you can stay big long enough to get to another box it will give you a Fire Flower which allows you to shoot fireballs. These power-ups are extremly helpful and will save your life many times. The graphics were great in all their 8-bit glory but they are nothing now. The sound is amazing the game has a fantastic soundtrack and all of its sound effects are good too.
