Sim City Description SimCity is a simulation and city-building computer and video game first released in 1989 and designed by Will Wright. SimCity was Maxis' first product, and has since been enhanced into several different versions including SimCity 2000 in 1993, SimCity 3000 in 1999 and SimCity 4 in 2003, while the original SimCity was later rebranded as SimCity Classic.

Until the release of The Sims in 2000, the SimCity series was the best-selling line of computer games made by Maxis. SimCity was originally released for several video game consoles and computer platforms, including the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, Atari ST, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Amiga, Amstrad CPC, DOS and Macintosh.

If there was one game that seriously impacted me as a small kid, it was this one. I can recall going to game rental places and picking out this game every single time. When it came to drawing time in school, I would build cities out of crayons and markers. I bought the SimCity card game.

It was just that good.

This old classic, released 15 years ago, bestows upon you the title of Mayor, and your job is to build a city. That sounds easy, right? You don't really have any guidelines. You don't have any obligations. There aren't any real victory conditions for you to meet, and it's very difficult for you to lose. How you progress in the game is solely up to you.
